The Abafazi-Women of Color Caucus Student Essay Award is open to
African-American women who are interested in writing a 15-to 20-page essay
on feminist/womanist issues among women of color. Your essay can cover any
subject relevant to African-American women's and female children's issues
and/or experiences in the U. S. or throughout the diaspora.
Undergraduates, graduates, and recent Ph.D. recipients (degree received no
earlier than May 2005) are eligible for this award.
