The Athwin and Bell Bachelor of Science Scholarships
for studies in Bachelor of Science: Visualization
Minneapolis College of Art and Design is pleased to
announce two scholarships designated for new students
entering MCAD's Bachelor of Science: Visualization
program in Fall 2002.
One $8,000 and two $4,000 renewable scholarships will
be awarded to three Bachelor of Science applicants
who have achieved exemplary academic records and
show evidence of high motivation as demonstrated by
their admissions application materials: transcripts, test
scores, statement of interest and letter of recommendation.
Winners chosen by a faculty committee will be
notified by April 15, 2002.
To be considered for these scholarships, all Bachelor
of Science: Visualization applicants must have their
required admissions materials in the Admissions Office
by April 1, 2002.
MCAD's BS: Visualization suits a special individual with
special interests. This program is for the imaginative
and visually creative. It is for those who wish to couple a
traditional baccalaureate knowledge base with technical,
visual studio emphases.
You should know: each BS student at MCAD is provided
with a 24-hour-accessible, personal computer workstation.
The dedicated BS lab space provides an environment
of shared purpose and community. Additionally, BS
students' programs are intertwined with the studios of
the MCAD BFA offerings including 14 majors. The various
on-campus programs, lectures and social events engage
all students of the college.
BS students participate in MCAD's foreign study
opportunities; the program also provides professional
internships and builds a citizenship component via the
practicum. Effectively, BS students balance theory
and practice in the rich learning environment of a
studio college of excellence.
