Description
City Year & AmeriCorps offer a national program in cities across the
United States for young people to promote leadership and development of
children through teaching, running after school programs and many other
out-of-school initiatives. You must be between the ages of 17 and 24, a
U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status, and be a high school
graduate or GED recipient. In return for serving 10 months of community
service and professional development, City Year members earn a weekly
stipend, health insurance and an education award in the amount of $4725.
You may receive a weekly living stipend in addition to health insurance
coverage if you are a full-time corps member.

City Year brings together students from diverse educational, social and
ethnic backgrounds for a year of full-time community service, leadership
and community participation. City Year has 4 application deadlines. Our
Spring application deadline is April 15th. Submit a completed
application by April 15th to be considered for the spring deadline and
