Description |
SCA's unique and award-winning Urban and Diversity Program was created
for ethnic constituencies including African Americans, Latinos, Asians,
Native Americans, and Pacific Islanders, as well as young women:
populations that traditionally have not explored the many vital and
rewarding positions offered in the conservation field.
Within this program are a wide variety of stimulating, expense-paid
Diversity Internships at popular sites from coast to coast. SCA works
with numerous federal agencies, private corporations and nonprofit
organizations committed to diversifying their workforces:
The U.S. Department of Interior
The National Park Service
National Center for Cultural Resources
The Mazda Foundation
Rivers and Trails Conservation Assistance Program
The Nature Conservancy, and many more...
Diversity Internships are available throughout the year to qualified and
motivated college students and range in length from a minimum of ten
weeks to a maximum of six months or more. Beyond the notable advantage
of hands-on experience, interns also receive numerous financial
benefits:
*Generous weekly living allowance or hourly salary
*Housing, food and transportation assistance
*Free worker's compensation and accident insurance
If these are the challenges and benefits you're looking for, act now by
visiting the website
for additional benefit information and current positions available. You
may also conveniently apply to this program using the online application
system, or by downloading the Conservation Internship application. |
