Description:
Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic (RFB&D), a nonprofit volunteer organization, is the nation’s educational library serving people who cannot effectively read standard print because of visual impairment, dyslexia or other physical disability. Our mission is to create opportunities for individual success by providing, and promoting the effective use of, accessible educational materials.

Each year, the Marion Huber Learning Through Listening (LTL®) awards are presented to RFB&D members who are high school seniors with learning disabilities, in recognition of academic excellence, outstanding leadership, and service to others.

To be eligible for the Marion Huber Learning through Listening Awards, you must:

1.have a specific learning disability

2.have been registered with RFB&D for at least one year prior to the closing date (individually or through a school)

3.be a member of the current award year graduating class of a public or private school or home school in the United States or its territories

4.have an overall grade average of B, 3.0 or above, based on grades 10 through 12 (or equivalent if an alternative grading system is used)

5.plan to continue formal education beyond high school at either a two- or four-year college or vocational school
