Scholarship Description
NetAid Global Action Awards honor high school students in the U.S. who
are building a brighter future for the world’s poorest people.
Honorees receive $5000 and will have a celebration in honor of their
achievement.
The scholarship is available to high school students living in the
U.S. who have organized and led a project that has directly impacted
people in developing countries or raised awareness in their own
communities about global poverty.
Honorees will be chosen by a panel of judges based on the level of
innovation, cooperation, leadership, inspiration and impact displayed
by their work.
Issues addressed by projects should be global in nature and may
include but are not limited to: alleviating hunger; promoting human
rights, children's rights or gender equity; increasing access to clean
drinking water, healthcare or education; preventing and treating
HIV/AIDS or other diseases; and supporting a sustainable environment.
