Description

The Organization of Chinese Americans, Inc. (OCA) has received funding from the AXA Foundation for college scholarships for Asian Pacific Americans (APAs) who will be entering their first year of college. Last year, eight (8) $2000 scholarships were awarded.

The AXA Foundation is the philanthropic arm of AXA Financial, directing the company's philanthropic and volunteer activities and working to improve the quality of life in communities across the country where AXA has a presence. AXA Achievementsm is the AXA Foundation's innovative, long-term strategy to provide America's youth with the advice and access necessary to succeed in college and beyond.

* APAs who are entering their first year of college in the Fall
* Must demonstrate academic achievement, leadership ability and community service
* Must be permanent resident or U.S. Citizen
* Must have a cumulative GPA 3.00 or above (unweighted)
