Description |
The ProStart® National Certificate of Achievement Scholarship is for
students who have received the National ProStart Certificate of
Achievement by participating in the HBA/ProStart School-to-Career
Initiative. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants:
- Will have earned a National ProStart Certificate of Achievement by
June 30, 2003.
- Must be a graduating high school senior attending an accredited
restaurant/foodservice post-secondary school (May apply if you are a
ProStart Junior in high school and holding a 2003 National Certificate
of Achievement- the $2,000 award will be forwarded to your school of
choice upon verification of your enrollment no later than June 1, 2004.)
- Mush have applied and gained acceptance to an accredited Hospitality
Management Program with a focus on restaurant management or
foodservice-related post-secondary program. Must be enrolled either
full-time or substantial part-time (minimum of 9 credit hours), and plan
to enroll in a minimum of two terms for the school year (verified by
submitting a copy of the acceptance letter from the college or
university)
*The NRAEF will award students who earn the National ProStart
Certificate of Achievement a scholarship based on the total funds
available. If the funds are not available for every certificate holder,
overall grade point average will be a deciding factor.
All awards are available to United States citizens and/or permanent
residents attending school in the U.S. and U.S. territories (American
Samoa, District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands). |
