Description
The Prudential Spirit of Community Award is open to students in grades 5 through 12 who have participated in volunteer activities in the past 12 months. Local Honorees are selected by participating organizations in November and receive a certificate of recognition. Two State Honorees are selected from each each state, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, and receive an award of $1,000, an engraved silver medallion and an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, DC for national recognition events. Ten National Honorees receive an additional award of $5,000, an engraved gold medallion and a trophy for their schools or organization.

 

Additional Information
You must submit your completed application to your school principal, Girl Scout council executive director or 4-H county agent. Schools and officially designated local organizations must submit their selections for local honorees by November 7. Prudential Financial partners with the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) to provide this award. Please visit the sponsor's Web site for additional information.
