Description
The Radiochemistry Society is providing $7,000 to
$10,000 Fellowships to graduate students (Graduate Student
Fellowships); $2,500 for entering university seniors (Undergraduate
Scholarship). These fellowships & scholarships are open to all
full-time students world wide. The number of scholarships given will
depend on the total funding levels.
Selection will be based on technical merit and will be judged by
Senior Technical Scientists. Individual and institutional names will
be separated prior to judging to minimize bias.
Finalists will be selected and then asked to submit academic records
under separate requests.
Announcement of Scholarship winners will be in July of each year.
Requirements:
-Graduate students with a grade point average of 3.0 or Undergraduate
students with a grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher.
-Enrolled or accepted in an academic program of study in Chemistry,
Physics, Nuclear Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Radiochemistry,
Health Physics or any other related scientific field of study.
-Be a member of the Radiochemistry Society at the time of application
submission.
-A Research Statement is required for Graduate Students and a Senior
Project Statement is required by undergraduates.
-Both the Research Statement and the Senior Project Statement shall
not exceed 500 words.
-Finalists will be asked to submit their academic record, a statement
of need and an extended Research or Senior Project Statement.
-Results of work accomplished will be published in the Radiochemistry
Society Journal.
-All submissions are due no later than April 1st each year.
