The Saul T. Wilson Scholarship is available to undergraduate and
graduate students who are interested in a career in public veterinary
health. To be eligible for this award, you must be enrolled full time at
an accredited college or university within the United States, be a a
U.S. citizen, and be in good academic standing. Undergraduate students
must have completed at least two years (60 semester hours or 90 quarter
hours) of a four-year pre-veterinary medicine or biomedical science
curriculum, and graduate students must have completed not more than one
year (18 semester hours or 27 quarter hours) of study in veterinary
medicine. Additionally, a resume, transcript, essay and three letters of
recommendation are required. This award requires you to work during
school breaks for the Veterinary Services agency of the USDA Animal and
Plant Health Inspection Service and may lead to permanent placement
within the agency.
