The Millie Brother Scholarship

CODA International
is privileged to announce two $3,000.00 scholarships to be awarded for the coming fall. These scholarships are provided through a fund which has been established to assist hearing children of Deaf parents to pursue post secondary educational opportunities.

Two scholarships - $3,000.00 (each)

Requirements

1. Applicants must be a high school graduate.
2. Applicants must be the hearing son or daughter of Deaf parents.
3. Each applicant must submit:
a. an official transcript from their high school,
b. two letters of recommendation, and
c. a typed two page essay.
4. Essays must be submitted describing the applicant's Coda experience and how it has shaped the Coda as an individual. The essay should include a description of future career aspirations. Each essay will be judged for organization, content, creativity, and a sense of purpose.
5. Applicants may compete for both scholarships but a separate essay is required for each submission.
6. Deadline for submission: All applications must be completed and postmarked by the first Friday in May.
7. Scholarship recipients will be notified by mail and email.
8. Scholarship winners' essays will be published in the CODA Connection, the organization's newsletter.
