The Voice of Democracy National Audio Essay Contest is open to students in
grades 9 through 12. You must write and record an essay of between three
and five minutes. Essay themes are announced annually and are listed on
the web site. Each state winner will receive an all-expense-paid trip to
Washington, D.C. where they will compete for national scholarships,
including a $25,000 first place scholarship.
PLEASE NOTE: Do not submit your essay to the National VFW Headquarters.
